在全球信贷紧缩的影响下，香港银行同业拆息高企，基准利率下调，而各银行的最优惠贷款利率却似乎一直保持不变。

上面的报道中，credit crunch就是“信贷紧缩”，一般指经营贷款的金融机构提高贷款标准，以高于市场利率水平的条件发放贷款，甚至不愿发放贷款，从而导致信贷增长下降，信贷资金难以满足社会再生产的合理需求的现象。之前我们还说过credit crisis（信贷危机），subprime crisis（次贷危机）等相关术语。Credit这个词通常指“信用，信贷，学分”等意思，比如我们常见的credit card（信用卡），credit cooperative（信用合作社/信用社），credit system（学分制）等。
